In Europe during the 15th and 16th centuries, scientific inquiry and exploration led to a boom of gathering art, antiquities and exotic natural objects (including human beings), for display in the forerunners of museums, known as “cabinets of curiosities.” I created my own version of a cabinet for an exhibition at the Corridor Gallery in Halifax, Nova Scotia (July-August, 2009).
